Founded by two childhood best friends, True Blue Theater Company was founded upon a fierce loyalty to storytelling, uplifting emerging voices, and the beautiful Island in which it performs. True Blue's goal is to enrich the performing arts community in Block Island by fostering a space for theater artists and enthusiasts alike. The company exists to serve as an outlet for unabashed creative expression where everyone is welcome and experimentation is encouraged. By producing new work, True Blue hopes to foster collaboration between emerging theater professionals in New York and the greater Block Island community.
